I took my 87-year-old mother-in-law to the Jewish Friendly Visitor Chanukkah Celebration. There was the very professional performance of Broadway show tunes sung by Cantor Geoffrey Fine. She sat and hummed at first, then began singing.  I appreciated that she came back to life! It was a remarkable transformation.

Cantor Fine's unique qualities are that he never gives up on his students even when they don't believe in themselves. In my sacred moment of becoming bat mitzvah, I thought that I would have to do it all in English but, Cantor Fine never gave up on me and kept pushing me to learn it all. He made it easier to learn with his quick tricks and different strategies.
